Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We will pick you up from your hotel and, after meeting your guide and chef, drive to Tarangire National Park (a 2-hour journey). The park is renowned for its varied landscapes, including its iconic ancient baobab trees and the highest concentration of elephants in Tanzania. This offers a unique opportunity to witness the interactions among elephant families.

You will embark on a game drive through the park, with a focus on areas where animal sightings have been reported. While predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards can be more elusive, herbivores such as giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras are plentiful and easily spotted.

Later, you will enjoy a lunch at the Tarangire River picnic site, where you can take in the beautiful river views and observe wildlife. Be aware that small monkeys and baboons might attempt to steal your lunch, but there's no need for concern.

After the tour, you will proceed to your accommodation at a lodge in Mto Wa Mbu.
