Day 2

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will join our driver-guide ready to kick off for Amboseli National Park. It is a landmark of big game adventure including a free range of elephant herds, Masai giraffes, spotted hyenas, rhinos, and many more. The park has a stunning place to view the highest mountain in Africa Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is made up of embodies comprised of five main wildlife habitats such as open plains, woodland, acacia, rocky thorn bush county, swamps, and marshland and also covers other areas of the Pleistocene lake basin and is dominated by dry areas outside during rainy seasons. You will be in Amboseli right in time for your lunch. You will check in and relax as you have your lunch. Thereafter, you will have an afternoon game drive and have your first sightings of some of the Big Five like the elephants which can be easily spotted. You will then return to the lodge just before dusk for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Amboseli National Park

On this day you will have a full-day game drive to cover most of the park. During that time of the morning, you can see the snow-capped Mt Kilimanjaro which is at the Tanzanian border. Most of the predators might also be spotted as they wade through the wet grass back to their hiding areas. Amboseli is well known to harbor one of the largest 'Tuskers' Tim and Echo, the most researched elephants. You will thereafter go back to the lodge for lunch as you recharge for another afternoon game drive to cover the remaining part of Amboseli. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in Amboseli.

Day 4

Amboseli National Park to Nairobi

Amboseli National Park to Nairobi

You will leave for Nairobi with a game drive en route to have a final taste of the Amboseli. You will be in Nairobi for an early lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant. After lunch, you will "return to colonial Africa" with a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum. This house and surrounding land was once home to famous author Karen Blixen who penned the novel Out of Africa which later became an award-winning movie. The house was built in 1912 and Blixen lived there for over 10 years, running a large and successful coffee plantation. Later, you will visit the Giraffe Center in Nairobi which is a non-profit organization, originally opened to protect the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe that are found only on the plains of East Africa. While on your visit you will have the opportunity of getting close to a giraffe or two as well as feed them and watch as they delicately use their long tongues to take the food from your hand. You will then head to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

You will depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve with a stopover at the Rift Valley viewpoint. From this viewpoint, you will have a glimpse of the low-lying flat lands below you. Covering an area of 1510 km², the Masai Mara National Reserve is the extension of the Kenyan territory of the vast Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Together, they constitute a huge ecosystem in which animals move freely. In the Maa language, Mara means "spotted" and may refer to the colorful landscapes. Alternatively, the name may refer to the arrival of over two million herbivores during the annual migration (wildebeest, gazelles, and zebras). The Big Five are all present in the Mara. Upon check-in, lunch will be served. Later, you'll go on an afternoon game drive which will last till dust when you return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After early morning breakfast, you will spend the full day on game drives exploring this spectacular reserve. You will drive along the Mara River and watch as the prey and predators take turns to quench their thirst. Lunch will be served at the lodge before departing for an afternoon game drive.

A balloon safari in the Masai Mara(optional), is a magical experience as you take in a bird's eye view of the vast, rolling plains below you. This unique and exhilarating excursion takes place early in the morning when you can marvel at the fantastic sight of the rising sun and gently float over the thousands of animals below you. This will be followed with a champagne breakfast after which you leave for a morning game drive till lunch hour. You will have some time to relax and then be picked for an afternoon game drive. This is the best time to spot wildlife as well as enjoy the peaceful vistas and crisp, clear air. Undisturbed by your presence, the animals will continue with their daily activities as you snap away and marvel at the beauty of Africa. After exploring the better part of the Mara, you will head back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay. (Cultural groups can be invited to the camp for evening entertainment at an extra cost).

This will be the last day of your trip. After breakfast, you will drive from the Mara past the Maasai villages where a cultural visit (optional) can be organized. You will have a chance to interact with the traditional communities and even have a tip on how to make the signature Maasai jump. You will drive to Nairobi with a stopover in Narok. You will be dropped off at the airport/a central place in Nairobi as we end our services.
