Mombasa-Tsavo East National Park
You'll be picked up early from your beach resort or Moi Airport and depart for Tsavo East National Park arriving in time for lunch. You will have a short rest at the lodge followed by an afternoon game drive until sunset. The park is the extension of the Tsavo West, and it is home to the red elephants called so due to them wetting their skin and then rolling around in the red soil to protect their skin from the sun and the bugs. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Voi Wildlife Lodge.

The full day will be spent in Tsavo East with morning and afternoon game drives or a full-day game drive with lunch boxes and return to the lodge in the evening. It is home to hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, and gerenuk, and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species. The park is also famous for the man-eaters of Tsavo. These two "man-eating lions" terrorized the construction crews led by Lt. Col Patterson who eventually shot the pair not before they had killed one hundred and thirty-five Indians and local workers. All meals and overnight stays will be at Voi Wildlife Lodge.
