Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We will pick you up from your hotel, and after getting you acquainted with your guide, transfer you to Tarangire National Park (a two-hour drive). Tarangire is known for its abundant, ancient baobab trees and boasts the largest concentration of elephants in the country. You’ll have unique opportunities to observe the interaction between elephant families. During our game drive through the park, we'll focus on areas with reported animal sightings, with a special emphasis on predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards (since they are more elusive). Herbivores like giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras are also plentiful throughout the park.

Later, we will visit the Tarangire River picnic site to enjoy lunch with a beautiful view of the river and the surrounding wildlife. Keep in mind that small monkeys and baboons may try to steal your lunch, but there is nothing to worry about.

The marsh areas for example are favored by big cats to bring up their young, whereas the short grass plains are where Wildebeest babies are born during the Great Migration As the sun lowers, join us around our famous Ndutu campfire, watch the sunset spread across the plains and the moon rise above the acacia trees. Or raise a glass or two around the bar to share stories and make new friends. As you return to your cottage full of good food and vivid memories from the day, listen for the haunting call of a hyena echoing through the woodlands before the velvet night brings a restful sleep.
