Day 1

Cape Town to Oudtshoorn

Cape Town to Oudtshoorn

Guests are collected in Cape Town early in the morning and driven to Oudtshoorn, the “Ostrich Capital of the World” in the Little Karoo. The scenic drive follows the world-famous Route 62, known as the "longest wine route in the world". The afternoon in Oudtshoorn is spent exploring the magical Cango Caves, an intricate cave system located in Precambrian limestones at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains. This is followed by a visit to a working ostrich farm. Guests can then savor an authentic Karoo dinner at the lodge restaurant.

Day 2

Oudtshoorn to Wilderness

Oudtshoorn to Wilderness

Wake up early to enjoy breakfast and then depart for the Wilderness area. The journey takes you over the historic Swartberg Mountain Pass, with a stop at the picturesque "Map of Africa" lookout point. This viewpoint offers a bird's-eye perspective of the Kaaimans River, creating an unmistakable outline of the African continent as it winds through the lush forest valley. You will arrive in Knysna late morning. The afternoon is spent visiting the Knysna Heads, the famous Knysna Waterfront and Knysna Quays. Mid-afternoon, you'll depart for Storms River, travelling via Plettenberg Bay.

Day 3

Tsitsikamma to Jeffreys Bay

Tsitsikamma to Jeffreys Bay

After breakfast, depart for a hike in the glorious Tsitsikamma National Park, ending at the Storms River Mouth. You’ll walk across the Hanging Bridge and can swim in the warm Indian Ocean. We then leave for Addo Elephant National Park and enjoy a late-afternoon game drive. Addo Elephant National Park is the third-largest national park in South Africa and was established in 1931 to protect the 11 remaining wild elephants in the region. You will have dinner at the lodge restaurant.

Day 4

Jeffreys Bay to Mossel Bay

Jeffreys Bay to Mossel Bay

After breakfast, depart for Mossel Bay. The morning drive is broken with a stopover at Bloukrans Bridge Bungee. It’s one of the world’s highest commercial bungee jumps in the world (216 metres above the Bloukrans River). Time permitting and for an extra fee, you can bungee jump off the Bloukrans Bridge. Bookings are essential, so plan ahead. Arrive at the Garden Route Game Lodge and take on a late afternoon game drive. Dinner is served at the lodge restaurant.

Mossel Bay to Cape town via Stoney Point

Wake up early for a hearty breakfast, and then you have the morning free to explore the beautiful coastal town. We depart mid-morning for Hermanus. This popular coastal town on the Garden Route is famous for whale watching, a vibrant street market and wonderful cliffside walkways. We leave Hermanus mid-afternoon for the return trip to Cape Town, arriving late afternoon (approximately 17h00).
