Today after breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel. After meeting your driver, you'll travel to Tarangire National Park. The park is about a 2-hour drive away, and you’ll be on your first safari adventure! On this special tour, you'll have the opportunity to see numerous elephants, various lion prides, and much more. Lunch will be provided, and the safari will continue afterward. In the evening, you'll be transferred to a budget lodge in Mto wa Mbu for an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
On this day, it is best to leave the hotel as early as possible to observe the variety of animals that are only active during the morning hours. You'll enjoy breakfast and lunch in the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.
At 6:30 am, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and within about an hour, you will be inside the crater. Ngorongoro is one of Tanzania's most famous and fascinating national parks, boasting the highest density of different animal species per square kilometer. You will have the chance to see buffalo, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and feline species such as caracals and servals. You may even spot the rare black rhinos that find refuge here.
By lunchtime, you will arrive at the picnic site, where lunch will be provided. Afterward, your safari will continue.
In the evening, you will conclude the game drive and transfer to Arusha for your overnight stay.

Kilimanjaro Hike
The day trip to Mt. Kilimanjaro starts around 5 am from Arusha (or even earlier to avoid traffic). Depending on the location of your hotel, the journey will take between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. After an early breakfast, you’ll depart with your guide and drive to Kilimanjaro National Park to begin the Kilimanjaro day hike.
The hike takes you up to the vast Shira Plateau, at an elevation of 3,600 meters. This 500,000-year-old volcanic caldera is now a World Heritage Site. You can stop for lunch here or continue to Shira 1 Camp, Lion Gorge, and the foothills of the Shira Pinnacles. From here, you should have a clear view of Kilimanjaro’s iconic snow-covered tabletop, Kibo Peak, as well as the neighboring glaciers. After that, you will be dropped off at the airport or your accommodation.
