The prominent feature of Lake Manyara National Park is a shallow alkaline lake situated at the foothills of the Rift Valley escarpment. It is renowned for its lions that are known for climbing trees and the extensive herds of elephants that inhabit the area. Upon entering the park, visitors are greeted by a lush groundwater forest, resembling a jungle, which serves as the habitat for a large population of olive baboons and blue monkeys. Additionally, an exhilarating treetop walkway, spanning 370m (1,200ft), provides a captivating aerial perspective of this distinctive environment. After the game drive we will drive to Arusha (or Kilimanjaro airport if you'll fly out).
