Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

The drive from Arusha to Tarangire takes approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, we’ll embark on a full-day game drive, exploring prime spots to see lions, cheetahs, leopards, and a variety of herbivores including elephants, wildebeest, buffalo, deer, and gazelles. As others head out, we’ll continue our game drive into the late evening, enjoying a less crowded and more dynamic scene in Tarangire. We’ll camp in an authentic wilderness setting, providing a tranquil experience distinct from the Serengeti.

Day 3

Early Morning Tarangire and Lake Manyara Night Game Drive

We’ll start our game drive in Tarangire early at 6:00 AM, continuing through the late morning. As the sun gets higher and more vehicles arrive, we’ll check out and head to Fig Tree Lodge for lunch and a bit of relaxation. In the afternoon, we'll embark on a cultural excursion in Mto wa Mbu, where we’ll visit local farms, waterfalls, and enjoy a biking tour.

After returning to the lodge for some refreshments and dinner, our adventure continues. At 8:00 PM, we’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park for a night game drive. This will offer a chance to see nocturnal animals and experience a quieter, more serene wilderness. We’ll return to Twiga Lodge for the night.

Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we’ll set off for Ngorongoro, which serves as a transit point to Serengeti National Park. We’ll make a stop at the Ngorongoro viewpoint to take in the stunning vistas and capture some memorable photos. We’ll then continue our journey to Serengeti National Park, arriving in the afternoon.

Upon arrival, we’ll have lunch before heading out for an evening game drive. We’ll end the day camping at the Seronera Campsite.

After an early breakfast, we’ll embark on a game drive exploring various areas of the park. We’ll return to the camp for lunch and then prepare for our journey back to Ngorongoro. We’ll spend the night at Simba Campsite, situated on the rim of the crater, so we’re ready for an early descent the following morning.

Spotting rhinos can be challenging due to their rarity, though the crater's unique landscape generally makes it easier to observe other wildlife. After lunch, we’ll continue with a game drive and then ascend the crater. We’ll return to camp before heading back to Arusha.
