Day 2

Moshi to Tarangire National Park

Moshi to Tarangire National Park

Start your day with a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and diverse wildlife. The park, named after the Tarangire River, is also a birdwatcher's paradise with numerous species and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park. After an exhilarating game drive, you’ll be transferred to your nearby accommodation to unwind and reflect on the day's experiences. Breakfast will be at the lodge, lunch at the picnic site, and dinner back at the lodge.

Today, after breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. In the afternoon, we'll leave the crater and head to our accommodation near Lake Manyara gate.
Ngorongoro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a massive volcanic caldera teeming with wildlife. Spanning 260 square kilometers and plunging 610 meters deep, it's home to around 25,000 ungulates and offers excellent game viewing. Expect to see wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and over 500 bird species, with a chance to spot the rare black rhino.

Lake Manyara National Park to Moshi

Lake Manyara National Park to Moshi

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive you to Lake Manyara National Park.
Named after its shallow, seasonal Salt Lake, the park is renowned for its vibrant flamingo populations and over 500 bird species. As you explore, you'll encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and, with a bit of luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park features diverse landscapes, including grassy plains, primate-filled woodlands, and baobab-dotted cliffs.

We expect to be back at Kilimanjaro Airport around 3:00 pm, although we remain flexible.
