Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania, is a bustling city driven by tourism. Your driver-guide will meet you in Arusha or at Arusha Airport, and together, you will begin the transfer to Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through it and serves as the primary source of fresh water for the wildlife. This tranquil park is renowned for its elephant migration, birdlife, and authentic safari atmosphere. You'll enjoy a packed lunch at midday, and after the afternoon's game drive, you'll head to Suricata Boma Lodge.

Be sure to wake up early today to ensure a timely descent into the famous Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you arrive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you'll be captivated by the surrounding beauty. The view from the crater's edge is breathtaking, showcasing one of the world's natural wonders. This crater, formed by an inactive volcano, is around 3 million years old, spans 20 square kilometers, and is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world. Its natural boundaries create an incredible haven for wildlife. Home to the Big Five, the crater offers an excellent chance to spot the rare black rhino. With the addition of hyenas, zebras, buffalos, and elephants, you have the perfect setting for an unforgettable safari experience! At the end of the afternoon, you'll head to Suricate Boma Lodge for a well-deserved night's rest.

After a good night's rest, today is the 'day of the lions.' Enjoy an early breakfast before checking out and heading towards Lake Manyara National Park. The park covers approximately 330 square kilometers, with the lake itself spanning 200 square kilometers at maximum water levels. From a sea of pink flamingos stretching as far as the eye can see to close encounters with bull elephants, Lake Manyara boasts a remarkable variety of herd animals and birdlife. One of the park's unique features is its tree-climbing lions. After exploring the park and its groundwater forest, you will begin the drive back to Arusha, where your journey started, in the mid-afternoon. Your heart and camera will be filled with memories of your African safari adventure.
