Day 2

Tarangire

Tarangire National Park is famous for its massive baobabs and large herds of elephants. Tarangire National Park is small but still home to a significant wildlife population with a density of wildlife matched only by Ngorongoro. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch during your safari drive and have plenty of time to explore the national park, stop to observe the wildlife, and take photos.

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive en-route Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro. We will visit the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world—Serengeti National Park. The word ‘Serengeti’ means ‘endless plains’ which describes the park’s 5,600 square mile boundary. Yet for its sprawling area, the Serengeti does not disappoint when it comes to rich game viewing. Annually, from May to December, millions of animals embark on a migration that brings them from Central Serengeti to Kenya’s Masai Mara and back again in an incredible spectacle. Even during the ‘down-time’, vast herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle roam here, along with groups of elephant, giraffe, and buffalo. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals stalk their meals. We will enjoy a picnic lunch in this open arena.

Serengeti offer a lot today you will do an early morning balloon safari. After landing you will raise a glass to your time in the sky. Just as magical is the chance to enjoy full breakfast laid out under an acacia tree in the tradition of 'Out of Africa'

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park, admiring its beauty. At noon, you will stop to have a picnic lunch. After lunch, enjoy a game drive en-route Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge.

You'll have an early breakfast and then descend down the crater for a 6-7 hours game drive. We will venture onto the crater floor for an up close view of the residents of this World Heritage Site. We'll also get to enjoy a picnic lunch here. The Ngorongoro Crater provides great game-viewing all year round. The wildlife here makes up a permanent population because grazing and water supplies are plentiful throughout the seasons.

Manyara

Although Lake Manyara National Park is small in size, this park is one of the most diverse reserves in the country. Lake Manyara covers two thirds of the park. At the backdrop is the wall of the Great Rift Valley, before which lies the ground water forest, areas of open grassland near the lake foreshore, and the soda lake. We will enjoy a picnic lunch in this area. It has open grassy areas, hot springs, dense woodland and steep mountainsides. Lake Manyara National Park is a birding paradise that has more than 350 species of bird. The park is also famed for its unique and elusive tree-climbing lions.
