Our safari begins in the vibrant city of Kampala, the capital of Uganda. After a hearty breakfast, we will embark on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in the southwestern part of the country. As we leave the bustling city behind, the landscape transforms into rolling hills, lush greenery, and picturesque villages.

Upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth National Park, we will check into our accommodation and have some time to relax and soak in the natural beauty surrounding us. In the evening, we will embark on an exciting evening game drive, where we will have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffalos, and more. The park is known for its diverse ecosystem, which is home to over 95 mammal species and 600 bird species, making it a paradise for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Rise and shine! Today, we will have a full day to explore the wonders of Queen Elizabeth National Park. After a scrumptious breakfast, we will embark on a thrilling game drive, venturing deep into the heart of the park. Our experienced guide will navigate through the vast savannah plains, dense forests, and winding rivers, in search of the park’s most iconic residents.

Keep your cameras ready, as we may encounter herds of elephants grazing peacefully, majestic lions basking in the sun, graceful giraffes roaming the plains, and a myriad of other fascinating wildlife species. In the afternoon, we will embark on a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This boat cruise offers a different perspective of the park, allowing us to observe wildlife from a closer distance as they come to the water’s edge to drink, bathe, and play.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth National Park and embark on a journey to Kyambura Gorge, also known as the “Valley of Apes.” This hidden gem is home to a thriving population of chimpanzees, our closest relatives in the animal kingdom. With the guidance of experienced trackers, we will venture into the dense forest in search of these intelligent and playful creatures. The thrill of spotting a group of chimps swinging through the trees or engaging in their daily activities is an experience that words cannot fully capture. It is a moment of connection with our evolutionary past and a reminder of the importance of conserving these incredible creatures and their habitats. After an exhilarating chimp trekking experience, we will continue our journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to approximately half of the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population.

Day 4

Today is the day we have all been waiting for. After an early breakfast, we will gather at the park headquarters, where we will receive a briefing on the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. Led by experienced guides and trackers, we will venture into the dense forest in search of a gorilla family to observe and admire in their natural habitat. Gorilla trekking is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that allows us to witness the incredible bond between these endangered animals and their natural environment. It is a reminder of the importance of conservation efforts and the need to protect these majestic creatures for future generations. After an unforgettable encounter with the gorillas, we will return to our accommodation, where we will have the chance to relax and reflect on the day’s adventures. In the evening, we will immerse ourselves in the rich cultural heritage of the Batwa people, one of the oldest indigenous communities in Uganda.

As we reflect on the incredible experiences we’ve had over the past five days, we can’t help but feel a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to explore this beautiful country and witness its natural wonders. From the diverse wildlife of Queen Elizabeth National Park to the captivating gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda has left an indelible mark on our hearts. As we arrive in Kampala, we will say our goodbyes, knowing that this is not the end of our journey, but rather the beginning of a lifelong appreciation for the wonders of nature and the importance of conservation.
