Day 1

From Arusha to Tarangire National Park

From Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel by the driver/guide and drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna, and Tarangire River in search of many animals including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe. It's possible that you will catch a glimpse of a lion stalking its prey or leopards watching and relaxing in the trees above. After a full day in the park, you will drive to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge, where you will be able to relax and enjoy dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 2

After breakfast, drive up the crater highlands, stopping at the rim for a spectacular view of the Ngorongoro Crater. Continuing as far as the eye can see is the vast Serengeti. Serengeti means "endless plain" and this 6900 square miles(18000 square kilometers)park is inhabited by more than two million wildebeest. It is one of the seven wonders of the world. Known for its abundant wildlife, it is especially famous for the annual Great Migration. Each year, vast numbers of wildebeest, along with large herds of zebra and antelope, follow a seasonal pattern in search of fresh grazing. Large predators including lions and cheetahs are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey which migrate throughout the park. Many smaller animals like rock hyraxes, mongoose, honey badgers, monkeys, baboons and African hares also inhabit the area along with nearly 500 species of birds. After the game drive, you will return back to Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, embark on an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Set out on a final game drive through the Serengeti, soaking in the last sights of its vast landscapes and diverse wildlife.
