Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, you'll set off for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its vast wilderness and the highest concentration of elephants in northern Tanzania. The park is famous for its enormous baobab trees and large elephant herds, with around 2,500 individuals often seen. Besides elephants, you might encounter lions, zebras, warthogs, wildebeests, and buffaloes. During the dry season, the park becomes a vibrant hub for wildlife and birdlife around the Tarangire River, a crucial water source. Tarangire is also unique in Tanzania for its regular sightings of oryx and gerenuk. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your accommodation in Karatu.

Day 3

Karatu to Central Serengeti National Park

Karatu to Central Serengeti National Park

Following an early breakfast, you'll head directly to Serengeti National Park, driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’re expected to arrive at the Serengeti National Park gate around 11:00 am or midday. Before checking in, enjoy a picnic lunch at the gate. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive, continuing until the late afternoon. Finally, you'll drive to your accommodation in Central Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4-5

Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)

Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)

After an early breakfast, you’ll drive from Central Serengeti to the North Serengeti, also known as Kogatende, to witness the spectacular great migration of over a million wildebeests, 250,000 zebras, and various antelopes. The drive takes about 2 hours. In the vast Serengeti, you'll search for big cats and migrating herds across the endless plains.

From July to October, the herds are in the northern Serengeti before moving on to Masai Mara. If you're fortunate, this is the prime location to observe the dramatic wildebeest river crossings at the Mara River and the thrilling encounters with crocodiles. After lunch and additional game drives, you’ll return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

You will spend 2 nights exploring the Northern Serengeti National Park.

After an early breakfast, you'll head directly to the Central Serengeti. Along the way, you'll encounter a variety of wildlife, including gazelles, zebras, giraffes, and hippos, and may even spot predators in action. The journey also offers opportunities to see big cats and over 500 bird species. Upon reaching the Central Serengeti, you can either enjoy a picnic lunch or head straight to your accommodation for a hot meal. Following lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive until late in the day. Finally, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

As one of the largest intact calderas on Earth, the Ngorongoro Crater is home to over 25,000 wild animals and boasts the highest density of big cats in the world. This stunning location is the premier spot in East Africa to see the Big Five—lions, leopards, black rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. Often referred to as one of the Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the crater offers a unique setting with diverse landscapes, abundant wildlife, and vibrant birdlife. The black rhino is frequently spotted here. After your exploration, enjoy lunch before ascending from the crater. Then, drive directly to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
