Day 1

Program of the day: Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport and begin a delightful safari to Lake Manyara National Park. You will enjoy a game drive in the park, followed by a picnic lunch at noon. After lunch, the game drive will continue until the evening. You will then be transferred to Eileen’s Trees Inn for dinner and your overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National Park covers an area of only 330 sq. km (127 sq. miles), of which up to 200 sq. km (77 sq. miles) is made up of the lake when water levels are high. Lake Manyara is an excellent place for bird watching and a good area to find elephants, Hippo, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, buffalos and even the legendary tree-climbing lions.

Day 2

Program of the day: After breakfast, you will carry your lunch boxes and depart to Central Serengeti National Park (Seronera) for an amazing and beautiful game drive witnessing the spectacular sunrise while passing through the Ngorongoro conservation area. The game drive will continue till early afternoon where you will have a picnic lunch at a designated place in the park and proceed with your safari until late evening when you will be taken at Kontiki Serengeti Camp for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti National Park is famous for the great migration of millions of wildebeests, herds of zebra and antelopes that make a cycle from southern Serengeti to Maasai Mara then back to Ndutu. This is due to climatic change, search for pasture, and the calving season. However, be ready to see the beautiful Serengeti plains and resident predators such as crocodiles, leopards, cheetahs, and lions completing the trophic level chain.

Day 3

Program of the day; Get up early and enjoy breakfast. We’ll then head to Central Serengeti, passing the Seronera River, where the great migration occurs. Our safari guide will find the best spots to witness dramatic wildebeest river crossings, spot predators like crocodiles and lions, observe diverse bird species, and appreciate the scenic beauty of lush riverbanks and open plains. In the afternoon, savor a picnic lunch in the park. Afterwards, proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a game drive, and then head to Rhino Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

The Serengeti Great Migration involves over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles traveling across the Serengeti and Maasai Mara. It is driven by the search for food and water, timed with breeding, predator avoidance, and influenced by seasonal environmental changes. The animals face challenges crossing the Grumeti, Seronera and Mara rivers such as braving predators and treacherous waters.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha/ Airport

Program of the day: After early morning breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for game drives and spotting diverse wildlife, including the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) and the rare black rhino. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at designated spots within the crater. The day concludes with a drive through the crater and Ngorongoro highlands before heading back to Arusha town or the airport. This will mark the end of our safari.

Ngorongoro crater is one among the UNESCO world heritage site and constitutes the largest uninterrupted caldera in the world and is one of the natural wonders of Africa which was formed after the volcanic explosion that occurred approximately 2-3 million years ago. It has the presence of about 30,000 large mammals and various bird species resident all year round.
