The safari starts at 7:00 am with a pick-up from the airport or your Nairobi hotel by the guide. From there, you'll proceed to Samburu National Reserve crossing the equator line where you will arrive at your camp in time for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, you will go for an afternoon game drive.

The reserve is well supplied with water by the Ewaso Nyiro River and you will spot numerous wildlife that come to drink water from this river. You'll return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

After breakfast at the lodge, you will leave for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. You'll search for the unique species of animals that inhabit the reserve such as the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffes, gerenuks, and Beisa oryx. Other popular animal species here can be found in the other parks and reserves in Kenya. They include lions, buffalos, cheetahs, and zebras among others. Break for a picnic lunch in the reserve and continue the drive until 5:00 pm. After a full-day experience, you'll return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Samburu National Reserve - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Samburu National Reserve - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, you will check out from the camp and proceed to Ol Pejeta Conservancy with a good view of Mount Kenya. You'll check in at the camp, have lunch, and rest. In the afternoon, you'll visit Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary which provides a lifelong refuge to orphaned and abused chimpanzees from West and Central Africa.

Over the last decade, Sweetwater's Chimpanzee Sanctuary has been compelled to keep accepting chimpanzees rescued from traumatic situations bringing the total number of chimpanzees in the sanctuary to 35. Many are confiscated from cramped and unnatural living conditions, and many arrive with horrific injuries sustained from abuse at the hands of humans. Thereafter, you'll proceed with a short game drive in the conservancy as you return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

You'll spend the day exploring Sweetwaters, and return to the camp at 3:00 pm. Sweetwaters is a privately owned conservancy overlooking the peaks of Mount Kenya. The Conservancy has a great number of wildlife including all of the Big Five animals (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo) among other game. The conservancy also has a special sanctuary that shelters several rare and endangered species including the black rhino, Grevy’s zebra, Jackson's hartebeest, and chimpanzees.

The Chimpanzee Sanctuary is the only one in Kenya. It is a home for orphaned and abused chimpanzees, rehabilitating them to help them learn to live by themselves in their own habitat. You'll return for dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

After breakfast, you'll check out from your camp and leave for the next destination which is Lake Nakuru National Park. You'll check in and have lunch at your lodge located inside the park. In the afternoon, you'll start your game drive.

Lake Nakuru is known as an ornithological paradise by birdwatchers. The lake is world-famous as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth which boasts anywhere between 1 and 2 million lesser and greater pink flamingos that feed on the abundant algae thriving in the lake's warm waters. The park is also a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. After your experience, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will check out with a game drive en route to Naivasha. You'll arrive at your lodge with a welcome drink, rest, and have lunch. In the afternoon, you'll have an optional boat ride and go on a visit to Crescent Island. Most of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow-barked acacia xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree. These forests abound with birdlife, and Naivasha is known as a world-class birding destination. The waters of the lake draw many varied wildlife species to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, buffalos wallow in the swamps, colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the lake's large hippo population sleeps the day out in the shallows. All meals and overnight stays will be at the lodge.

As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest and zebras, with predators right on their heels trying to capitalize on a meal.

Your day starts with breakfast at the camp. By 8:00 am, you will leave with a picnic lunch in hand for an extensive game drive. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. This reserve is the best park for game drives in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network that allows for close-range viewing and photography. Your game drive will include a visit to the Mara River, which is a point of migration and a place to spot crocodiles and hippos. You will stop here for a picnic break. Your game drive will continue until 5:00 pm, after which you will exit the park for 2 hours of optional activities.
