Moshi/Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our guide will meet you and transfer you from Moshi to Tarangire National Park, a journey of approximately 151 km. You will enjoy a packed lunch box within the park.

Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River, serves as a crucial water source for the region’s wildlife during the dry season. The park boasts a variety of vegetation, setting it apart from other parks in the northern safari circuit. Established in 1970, Tarangire is renowned for its large wildlife populations, including impressive herds of elephants, diverse bird species, tree-climbing African pythons, and iconic baobab trees. In addition to thrilling game viewing, the park offers excellent birdwatching opportunities, nature walks, and the chance to engage with local communities to experience their vibrant culture.

Ngorongoro crater to Arusha/Moshi

After breakfast, you will take your packed lunch and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here, we will descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for an exciting game drive.

The crater offers a stunning environment with dramatic landscapes and an impressive array of wildlife, including the Big Five (rhinos, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and elephants), as well as zebras, hippos, wildebeest, hyenas, and a rich variety of birds such as flamingoes, geese, storks, and vultures. Lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic picnic spot near Ngoitoktok Swamp, where you can observe hippos in their natural habitat. After the game drive, we will transfer you back to Moshi or Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you can catch your flight home or continue to your next destination.
