Fly to Kulala Wilderness Reserve
Today you will be transferred back to Windhoek Airport to meet your light aircraft flight into the Namib Desert.
Your destination is Kulala Desert Lodge, where you will spend the next 2 nights. This luxurious desert retreat is situated in the private Kulala Wilderness Reserve. The camp offers close proximity and private access to the towering sand dunes of Sossusvlei, meaning you will be one of the first to enter the park for sunrise.
Each of the 23 canvas and thatch rooms features a flat rooftop, ideal for sleep-outs under the extraordinarily clear Namibian night sky, if you fancy.

Activities from Kulala Desert Lodge
Activities are included during your stay at Little Kulala, so we recommend you wake up early to climb the iconic sand dunes at sunrise. Alternatively, you can discuss the option of soaring above this breathtaking landscape in a hot-air balloon, which is an additional cost.
Other activities you can enjoy today include a nature drive in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve to spot the desert-adapted wildlife, a dune walk or an eco-sensitive guided quad bike excursion. In the evening, you can enjoy a gin and tonic on a sundowner tour, or after dark, you can join a star-gazing excursion with a knowledgeable guide.

Sossusvlei to Etosha National Park
Today, you travel from the desert to the wildlife spectacle of Etosha National Park. This park can be visited throughout the year, as it offers something special every month. However, it is widely recognised that the Dry season (July to October) offers the best chance of wildlife sightings.
Stay at Ongava Lodge for 2 nights while you explore the private Ongava Game Reserve, within which the lodge sits and also Etosha National Park, adjacent to the private reserve. The central dining area is fronted by 2 viewing decks, overlooking a waterhole frequented by rhinos and other game.

On safari from Ongava Lodge
Early in the morning or just before dusk, a game drive in a safari vehicle with an experienced guide at the helm, will be a highlight of your stay in the bush. As a private game reserve, Ongava offers a vast area to explore, and ample opportunity to encounter a wide diversity of wildlife up close.
No two game drives are ever the same, so you can expect the unexpected as your guide steers the way from savannah to woodland to the fringes of a waterhole.
Perhaps you’ll see an elephant matriarch leading her young through the bush. Perhaps you'll spot a pride of lions resting in the shade before the hunt begins, a rhino family, a herd of springbok, or a lone jackal slinking across the scrubland. Night drives and guided walks are also available.
