Day 1

From Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

From Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel and driven to Lake Naivasha, with a 20-30 minute stop at the Great Rift Valley escarpment. We will then head to Hell's Gate National Park, which is mostly a savannah ecosystem and home to a diverse range of wildlife, including birds like vultures, Verreaux's eagles, augur buzzards, and swifts. You'll also see animals such as African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons, along with the klipspringer antelope. In the evening, you have the option of taking a boat ride on Lake Naivasha.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.

Day 2

Experience Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

Experience Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, we'll head to Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned among bird enthusiasts as one of the world's most remarkable ornithological spectacles. The park is famous for its millions of pink flamingos that line the lakeshore. You’ll also spot a variety of other birds, including lesser and greater flamingos, African fish eagles, tawny eagles, green wood hoopoes, cliff chats, great white and pink-backed pelicans, along with several other Intra-African migrants. The park also serves as a sanctuary for black rhinos, white rhinos, and Rothschild giraffes.

We will arrive in time for lunch and check in at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Afterward, we'll go on an afternoon game drive, where you'll encounter a wide range of other wildlife, before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we'll drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned among bird enthusiasts as one of the world's most spectacular birdwatching destinations. Enjoy two full days of unlimited game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve, where you'll search for the Big Five. For an additional cost of $450 per person, you can opt for a balloon safari. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at Keekorok Lodge.

The Masai Mara is renowned for its incredible diversity and abundance of wildlife, with over 450 species recorded. You'll easily spot lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, antelopes, and elephants. The Mara is also home to one of the world's most spectacular natural events: the annual migration of millions of wildebeests and zebras from Tanzania's Serengeti in search of water and pasture. This migration is closely followed by savannah predators like lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.

Travel back to Nairobi

Experience one last extended morning game drive in the park before heading back to the camp for a late breakfast. We'll then leave the Mara and make our way back to Nairobi, with a lunch stop along the way. The safari concludes in Nairobi around 4:30 pm, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
