Day 4

Lake Manyara National Park

Depart from Mto wa Mbu early in the morning and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Spend the day enjoying a full-day game drive, immersing yourself in the diverse wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. The park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, who ascend trees to avoid the wet ground during the rainy season and to seek refuge from the heat and insects during the dry season. Day 5

Hadzabe society

Hadzabe society

Workup 5am and get ready for another experience day, the Hadzabe are one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer community in Africa, living an ancient lifestyle that involves hunting wild animals like monkeys, snakes, and baboons, and gathering roots, fruits, and honey. Join the Hadzabe on a hunting expedition. You will walk through the bush, carrying traditional weapons such as slingshots, bows, arrows, and spears, and witness their incredible tracking and hunting skills. After a successful hunt, observe the Hadzabe family start a fire using traditional fire-making techniques, such as rotating wooden fire drills between their palms to create friction. Participate in the preparation and cooking of the meal.
Return to the camp for a brunch that combines breakfast and lunch. Relax at the camp for a few hours. Later in the afternoon, visit the local fishermen at Lake Eyasi. Learn about their fishing techniques, the types of fish found in the lake, and their way of life.
