Ngorongoro Crater
You'll begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the lodge, where we'll pack a hot lunch for your adventure ahead. You'll depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, completing check-in formalities upon arrival. As you drive alongside the Lerai Forest, you'll marvel at the breathtaking beauty of one of the world's largest intact calderas.
You'll descend into the crater for a full-day game drive, where you'll encounter an incredible array of wildlife. Keep an eye out for the Big Five—rhinos, lions, leopards, buffalo, and elephants—as well as zebras, hippos, wildebeest, hyenas, and more. Don't miss the vibrant birdlife, including flamingos, geese, storks, and vultures, around the soda lake.
After an exhilarating day of wildlife sightings, you will return to Fig Tree Lodge & Camp for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay, reflecting on the wonders of the crater.

Lake Manyara National Park to Zanzibar
You will start your day with breakfast at the lodge around 7:00 am before departing at 7:30 am for the stunning Lake Manyara National Park, famed for its tree-climbing lions. With your packed hot lunch, you'll embark on a scenic journey to this picturesque gem.
Lake Manyara, once described by Ernest Hemingway as the loveliest place he'd seen in Africa, maybe one of Tanzania’s smaller parks, but it offers an unforgettable safari experience. Its unique landscape, dominated by the lake, is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife, including tree-climbing lions, the world’s largest population of baboons, over 400 bird species, and flocks of pink flamingos at the soda lake.
You'll pause at midday for lunch, accompanied by coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and soft drinks. After a day filled with incredible wildlife and natural beauty, you'll return to Arusha in the late afternoon, where you'll be dropped off at the airport, ending a perfect day by our guide from Zanzibar dropping at your hotel.
