Arusha to the incredible Tatangire

We will pick you up from your hotel in or near Arusha. During the 2.5-hour drive, you’ll have the chance to take in the stunning natural scenery. Once we reach Tarangire, we'll embark on a game drive before lunch. After enjoying a picnic lunch, we’ll continue with another game drive throughout the afternoon.

Tarangire National Park, situated 115km south of Arusha, spans 2,850km² and stretches along the Tarangire River. The park's name is derived from the Tarangire River, which serves as the sole water source for wildlife during the dry season. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. During the dry months, the animal concentration around the river is nearly as diverse and dependable as that in the Ngorongoro Crater.

In the late afternoon, we'll arrive at Suricata Boma Lodge, where you can unwind and relax by the swimming pool.

After breakfast, we’ll set off for the Serengeti, arriving after a 4-hour drive. Once we reach the park, we'll have lunch and then spend the afternoon on a game drive exploring the stunning landscapes.

The Serengeti is renowned for its vast savannahs and diverse forest areas, covering approximately 30,000km² across northern Tanzania and Kenya, with 80% of it located in Tanzania. The park is famous for the incredible migration of around 1.5 million herbivores and their predators, who move in response to drought conditions in the northern hills and migrate to the southern plains. After the mid-April rains, the herds typically traverse the western part of the park.

Home to an estimated 30,000 large mammals, the Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated wildlife regions globally. At its center lies a salt lake, and it’s a remarkable area where both wildlife and local communities, such as the Maasai and Hadza, coexist.
