Day 1

After breakfast, your driver/guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to Tarangire National Park. Known for its large elephant herds, Tarangire offers a chance to explore seasonal swamps, savanna, and the Tarangire River from the open-roof vehicle. You'll be on the lookout for a variety of animals, including zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and giraffes. There’s also a chance to spot a lion stalking its prey or leopards lounging in the trees above. After a full day of wildlife viewing, you'll head to your accommodation for dinner and rest, preparing for the adventures of the following day.

After an early breakfast, you'll embark on a game drive in the Serengeti, renowned as one of the world's most famous national parks. This experience will be unforgettable, especially for first-time visitors. As you venture deeper into the Serengeti, you'll understand why its name, in the local language, translates to "endless plains."

Covering 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers), the Serengeti features vast, uninterrupted plains that stretch to the horizon, challenging your sense of distance. It is home to the Great Migration, which includes 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and various antelopes. The park is also a prime location for spotting Big Cats and large predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Many iconic television scenes, such as the dramatic river crossings, have been filmed in this remarkable park.

From Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

You’ll rise early to embark on a sunrise game drive, taking advantage of the cooler temperatures when animals are most active and enjoying one of Africa's most breathtaking sunrises. After this memorable experience, you'll return to camp for breakfast, check out, and then travel to the Ngorongoro Crater. Renowned for having the highest concentration of wildlife on the planet. It’s home to nearly every species native to East Africa including the elusive black rhino. The crater features a diverse landscape with a river, several swamps, a soda lake that appears as steam from above, a forest and expansive plains. The resident large bull elephants are notable for their exceptionally large tusks, attributed to the nutrient-rich volcanic soil and grasses. During this remarkable game drive, you'll enjoy lunch and spend a full day exploring the crater. Afterward, you'll ascend to the crater rim and head to Ngorongoro Lions Paw for check-in. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater

Your day will begin early as you descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for a remarkable morning of wildlife viewing in one of the world's most breathtaking locations. After your game drive, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch by the picturesque Hippo Lake. Following lunch, you'll have some additional time for a brief game drive.

You'll also have the opportunity to visit Maasai Bomas to experience local culture. Afterward, you'll ascend from the crater and leave the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, heading towards Karatu for an overnight stay at your accommodation.

The next day, after your time in Karatu, you'll make your way back to Arusha.
