After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to the Western province. Or on arrival, you will be picked from the airport and transfer to Nyungwe national park. On your way, visit the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in the Southern province. This will give you a great history of traditional ways of living among Rwandans and their past way of the leadership of their kingship. Enjoy an en-route lunch. You will reach Nyungwe National Park in the afternoon relax at the lodge.

Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk

Today, after your early morning Breakfast, you will drive to Nyungwe Forest which is well known for having 13 species of primates. Transfer to the park for a briefing and chimpanzee trekking. On finding the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them.

After the chimpanzee trek, have lunch before heading for a canopy walk. Relax the rest of the evening. Dinner and overnight as above.

Transfer to Kahuzi Biega national park in Congo
Breakfast, have a relaxed morning. After lunch you will drive to Kahuzi Biega national Park. This is about 2hrs drive. Go through the border, and drive to the lodge

You will have an early breakfast and transfer to the National Park headquarters for a briefing at 8:30am on the rules to be observed during Gorilla trekking. You will spend 1hr with the Gorillas. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Kivu on the Rwanda side. Arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy the hot meal, later in the afternoon, you will go for a boat ride on Lake Kivu. Enjoy the sunset cruise. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast you will drive to Bwindi national park. Takes around 4hrs of driving. Go through the border. Proceed to the lodge. Have Lunch on arrival. Relax the rest of the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Mountain Gorilla Tracking

Gorilla tracking
You will have an early breakfast and transfer to the National Park headquarters for a briefing at 8:30am on the rules to be observed during Gorilla trekking. You will be allocated a Gorilla family to trek and guides to lead you to the Gorillas. The trekking will be a 2-5 hour exercise and upon sighting the Gorillas you will spend one hour with them. Return for lunch, or have packed lunch. This depends o the gorilla group you tracked. Afternoon enjoy batwa cultural entertainment. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Transfer to Kigali-Departure

After breakfast, at 9am you will drive from Uganda, cross the border and enter into Rwanda. Driving time is about 4hrs. Have lunch in Kigali in oe of the restaurants, later be transferred to the airport for your departure. This marks the end of the safari.
