Day 1

Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

At 6:00am, our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer you to Zanzibar International Airport. You board the flight at 8:00am to Arusha Airport. Upon your arrival at 9:30am, our driver-guide will warmly welcome you. After a brief orientation, you will begin your drive to the southern part of Serengeti National Park, known as Ndutu.

During the green season, from December to March, Ndutu offers excellent wildlife viewing. Located in the southern portion of the Serengeti plains, It is the birthplace of approximately 8,000 wildebeest calves daily. It is also the best location to spot big cats, including leopards, lions, cheetahs, caracals, and African wildcats.

For lunch, we will enjoy a picnic in the park.

After lunch, we will continue our game-viewing drive to experience the wildlife of Ndutu. Later, we will head to our accommodations, a permanent tented camp in the heart of the wilderness, for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 2

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of game driving in the Southern Serengeti, specifically in the Ndutu area. Visit Lake Ndutu, which is alkaline, however, the water remains drinkable and is consumed by a diverse array of local wildlife. You can typically find most of the wildebeest migration from December to April on the grazing plains. This area is often bustling with elephants, various bird species and predators.

In the evening, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar

Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar

You will depart from the lodge after breakfast at 6:00am for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive to the Ngorongoro gate takes approximately two hours. Once there, you will enjoy a full-day game drive in the crater with a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, you will drive to Arusha Airport for your flight, which departs at 4:30pm to Zanzibar. You will arrive in Zanzibar at 5:30pm, where our driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its natural and cultural significance. As you descend into the crater, you will have a great opportunity to see the Big Five—prides of lions, herds of buffalo, elephants, leopards and black rhinos. The crater's lakes are also home to numerous bird species, including flamingos. The incredible natural environment inside the crater offers a chance to observe a wide variety of wildlife in a short amount of time.
