1-Day Shoebill Stock Tracking and Makanaga Swamp Getaway

• You'll be collected from the airport.

7:00 AM - 8:00 AM: Departure and Travel

- Depart Kampala and travel to Makanaga Swamp (approximately 2-hour drive)
- Enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding countryside and wetlands

8:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Swamp Exploration

- Arrive at Makanaga Swamp and meet your local guide
- Begin exploring the swamp using papyrus boats or walking trails
- Spot unique bird species, including the Shoebill Stork, Pel's Fishing Owl, and Bateleur Eagle

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch Break

- Take a break and enjoy a picnic lunch at the swamp

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Further Exploration

- Continue exploring the swamp, spotting more bird species and learning about the ecosystem
- Visit local communities and learn about their traditional way of life

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Return Journey.
