Day 1

Transfer from Kampala in the morning with your safari guide to Murchison Falls national park, Uganda’s largest national park and home to over 451 bird species and 76 mammal species and inclusive of the world’s most powerful waterfall. Along the way your eyes will be fed with lots of beautiful sightings like landscapes, plantations, small urban centers and fruits and vegetable markets, Be in Ziwa before mid-day for rhino tracking. We shall have our lunch stopover at Kabalega Dinners for lunch and later we pass via the top of the fall, there is nothing as thrilling as viewing the River Nile make its way a 7 m narrow gorge and dropping nearly 45 meters down as it continues with its course towards Lake Albert. As a result of the great power of the falls, you will realize that the ground here is actually shaking; this is very stunning as a rainbow is also a permanent resident. Then after proceeding to your lodge and check in, have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Today, you will have morning breakfast and head out for the game drive. The safari guide will lead you into the savannah plains of Murchison Falls. You will surely enjoy the African true wilderness as you will be having your best photographic moments that will be memorable on this safari. Through the trails you will be seeing dens of lions, African elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, Cape buffaloes, Leopards and several antelopes grazing in the savannah. Transfer back to the lodge for your lunch and some relaxation as you prepare for the afternoon Nile launch cruise. On the launch cruise you will have the best time on the Victoria Nile, the launch cruise takes you to the bottom of the falls, as you observe various wildlife species like the African elephants, Nile crocodiles, high concentration of hippos, Cape buffaloes, water bucks and bird species such as the shadowed bill storks, shoebill stork, fish eagle among others. Have a great time observing the magnificent waterfalls.

Day 3

Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge and embark on the drive to Kibale Forest National Park you will appreciate the beautiful sceneries of this countryside which makes your journey more exciting and lovely. We shall have a stopover at the Fort portal town for lunch and proceed to Kibale forest as we will have great views of the Rwenzori Mountain ranges. Check in at your lodge, depending on the arrival time we can opt to go for a guided nature walk in Bigodi swamp which is home to various bird species and primate species and later have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

On this day wakeup very early in the morning for the breakfast and set out to the park offices, where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of this activity and by exactly 8am set off for Chimpanzee trekking in the flourishing dense forest. Kibale forest national park is among the wonderful places well-known for various primates species besides the chimpanzees are black and white colobus monkeys, vervets, olive baboons, mangabeys and many more. The park is also blessed with several crater lakes which contribute a lot to its beauty. The chimpanzees are also exciting, and this very close encounter will certainly reward you with unforgettable experience on your safari. After lunch you will transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National Park through the stunning views of the Rwenzori ranges and upon arrival you will check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up early in the morning for your breakfast and head out for the morning game drive through the Kasenyi track and other tracks where you have a chance to view several wildlife species like lions, African elephants, antelopes, Cape buffaloes, waterbucks, Rothschild’s giraffes and if you’re lucky enough leopards alongside the variety bird species. Queen Elizabeth is rich with the diversity of Uganda’s ecosystems such as the Savannah, lakes, wetlands, forests and about 600 bird species which find their livelihood in the park. With this, its scenery is stunning with crater lakes like Nyamunuka and various shrubs and forests. Later transfer back to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon go for a boat ride on Kazinga channel; this is one of the most unforgettable experiences from this park. Take pleasure to observe various water birds with their echoing sweet sounds and wildlife species like the hippos, Nile crocodiles, waterbucks, Cape buffaloes and many more.

Day 6

Forest walk and community

Have breakfast in the morning and set out for a guided forest walk in Maramagambo forest with the hope to see several birds’ species, python and bat caves. You will also have community tour around areas of katwe, katungulu and kyambura, you head to the local community and observe, enjoy and experience their lifestyle and livelihood as they demonstrate to you how they use their elementary tools to harvest, have cultural performance by the window women. Head back to the lodge have lunch as you prepare for an evening game drive through the park.

Day 7

After your morning breakfast transfer Bwindi impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector as you will have a chance to see the tree climbing lions and later continue to Bwindi. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to about 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, 27 frog species, and the park covers an area of 331 sq km. Have lunch along the way and proceed with your journey doubled with amazing and scenic views of banana, tea plantations and the flourishing vegetation of the area. Upon arrival at the park check in at your lodge, have dinner and overnight stay as you wait for the following.

Day 8

Gorilla Trekking and Batwa community walk

After a cup of tea or coffee, set out to the park head offices with your safari guide have a briefing about the dos and don’ts while in the park with gorillas conducted by the park warden. After set for gorilla trekking in the mist rain forest, trekking can go for 2 hours or up to 6 hours and this is based on the location of the mountain gorilla family you are assigned too. Only 1 hour is permitted to trekkers as they observe and learn about their behaviors, lifestyle and traits. Make sure you have your picnic packed lunch, enough water, trekking shoes, rain jackets, non-flash cameras, and walking sticks. Later retire to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, go for the Batwa community walk where you will visit the local people, Batwa pygmies are an indigenous group of people who have lived in this forest for many years, enjoy traditional dances from them. Transfer back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight stay.

Have Breakfast and embark on the transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, the road trip is approximately a 6 to 7 hours drive. You will pass via the stunning landscapes of kigezi region which is a combination of terraced hills, thick forests, banana and tea plantations among others. Have lunch in Mbarara town and proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, which is home to about 332 bird species, the park is mapped with an area of 371 sq km. It is also a home to several wildlife species like Zebras, Elands, impalas, warthogs, topis, waterbucks, Cape buffaloes, Giraffes and reedbucks among others. Upon arrival, you will have a boat ride on lake Mburo where your eyes will be fed with lots of adventure like the water birds, Nile crocodiles, hippos, zebras among others, Have dinner and a night stay at the lodge.

As we come to an end of this 10 days adventurous safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast and leave for an early game drive. There you will see animals like zebras, Impalas, buffalos, warthogs and antelopes living in their natural habitat. A good camera is a must have which in this instance helps to have better pictures about Uganda and true African wilderness. Proceed with your journey to Kampala, with a stopover for lunch in at the Equator line to take photos hence arriving in Kampala in the evening and you will be dropped at your point of call.
