Day 1

Your adventure begins early in Nairobi, where you’ll be picked up from your hotel by your safari driver-guide. Depart for Amboseli National Park by road, a drive of approximately 4 to 5 hours. As you journey, you’ll pass through vast rural landscapes and small towns, with opportunities to take scenic stops along the way. You’ll notice the change in the terrain as you approach Amboseli, with expansive savannahs stretching toward the horizon. After arrival, check-in at Sopa Lodge Amboseli, a beautiful accommodation offering panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a leisurely lunch, surrounded by the park’s wild beauty. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive across the park. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, and you're likely to spot them along with lions, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. Don’t forget your camera, as the views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance make for an iconic African backdrop. Return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing.

Day 2

Start your day early with a pre-breakfast game drive, capitalizing on the golden morning light and the chance to see wildlife at its most active. Amboseli's flat terrain offers excellent visibility for spotting the famous elephant herds, along with lions, cheetahs, and various herbivores. After your drive, head back to the lodge for a well-deserved breakfast. Spend some time at leisure before your midday break. You might enjoy a refreshing dip in the lodge’s pool or relax while overlooking the savannah. In the afternoon, visit the Amboseli swamps, where animals gather for water, and birdwatching is exceptional. These swamps are often teeming with wildlife, including buffaloes, wildebeest, and various bird species. Another option is visiting a local Maasai village, where you can learn about the culture, traditions, and lifestyles of the indigenous Maasai people. Return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful night in the African wilderness.

Day 3

On the third day, check out of the lodge after breakfast and set off for Naivasha, which is about a 6-hour drive away. The journey takes you through diverse landscapes, including small rural villages, farms, and scenic hills. As you pass the Great Rift Valley, make sure to stop at the viewpoint for breathtaking vistas of the valley below. You’ll also see herds of wildlife along the way. Upon arrival in Naivasha, check into Sopa Lodge Naivasha, a beautiful property set by the edge of Lake Naivasha, offering fantastic views of the lake and surrounding flora. After lunch, take a boat ride on the lake, where you'll have the opportunity to see hippos, giraffes, and an array of birds, including kingfishers and pelicans. If you prefer land-based exploration, a visit to Crescent Island is recommended for a peaceful walking safari among zebras, giraffes, and other wildlife. Enjoy an evening of relaxation back at the lodge, where you can have dinner while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.

Day 4

Return to Nairobi

After breakfast at the lodge, head out for a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park, located nearby. Hell’s Gate offers dramatic cliffs, geothermal activity, and a variety of wildlife such as buffalo, gazelles, and baboons. The park is unique in that it allows walking and cycling safaris, offering a more intimate wildlife experience. You can hike to Fisher’s Tower, an iconic rock formation, or explore the park’s hot springs and geysers. Alternatively, you can take a leisurely morning walk along the shores of Lake Naivasha, where you may encounter more birdlife or even spot a few hippos grazing near the water’s edge. After your adventure, return to the lodge for a delicious lunch. Early afternoon, begin your journey back to Nairobi, a 1.5-2 hour drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Arriving in Nairobi by late afternoon or early evening, you can either enjoy a short city tour or head directly to the airport for your return flight, concluding your 4-day adventure.
