With luck, you may witness a dramatic Mara River crossing. Today begins with an early morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, where you'll spend the full day exploring with a picnic lunch inside the crater. Supported by a year-round water supply and ample fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants.
Visit Lake Magadi, a large shallow alkaline lake in the crater’s southwestern corner, known for its flamingos, hippos, and other water birds. After lunch, drive back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
