Today, after breakfast, you’ll drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive in the crater. In the afternoon, we will exit the crater and head to our accommodation close to Lake Manyara gate.
Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ngorongoro is the result of a colossal volcanic eruption millions of years ago, forming a crater that plunges 610 meters deep and spans an expansive area of approximately 260 square kilometers. Renowned for its remarkable biodiversity, the crater is home to around 25,000 ungulates, making it a premier destination for game viewing in Tanzania. Within minutes of exploration, expect to encounter a diverse array of wildlife, including wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and over 500 species of birds that inhabit this unique ecosystem. With a touch of fortune, catching a glimpse of the endangered black rhino grazing amid the grassy terrain is possible.

During your park explorations, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes. It has grassy plains, primate-filled woodlands, and baobab-dotted cliffs.
