The Samburu are a nomadic pastoralist community closely related to the Maasai, inhabiting the arid lands of northern Kenya. Their traditional way of life revolves around their livestock, primarily cattle, sheep, and goats, which they graze on the open plains. The morans are traditionally warriors, responsible for protecting the community and their livestock. They undergo rigorous initiation ceremonies to prepare for their roles.
