Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide. After a brief introduction to Uganda, you’ll set off for your first adventure: Shoebill tracking in Mabamba Swamp.
Mabamba Swamp, located on the shores of Lake Victoria, is one of the best places in Uganda to spot the rare and prehistoric-looking Shoebill stork. You’ll embark on a boat trip through the tranquil marshlands, guided by experienced local birders, in search of this remarkable bird, as well as other water species like kingfishers, herons, and pelicans.
After the boat trip, you’ll return to Entebbe for a relaxing evening at your hotel, preparing for the days ahead.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s premier wildlife destinations. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful landscapes as you pass through rural villages, tea plantations, and forested areas.
Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon, and check in to your lodge. Depending on your arrival time, you may opt for a short evening game drive to get a first glimpse of the park’s wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, and various antelope species return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Today we take early breakfast and prepare for you an exciting safari in the Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth also famous for rich dotted Acacia and tree climbing lions with likely chances of spotting the Leopard, Buffalo, and Hyena. If you love Birds then this sector has salty crater lakes where flamingos can be seen during the day.
After lunch, you will go on a boat safari on the Kazinga channel, which joins Lake George and Lake Albert. Here you will see more hippos than you can possibly see anywhere else, along with herds of buffalo and elephants rushing to drink at gorge coastlines. Amazingly, the crocodiles in this region coexist peacefully with other creatures without preying on them.
Later, return to the lodge for relaxation
This area is also known for the numerous crater lakes and alkaline salt mining lakes, during our game drives we will have routine stop overs at these amazing lakes and enjoy watching the salt mining activity and flamingos.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge – Transfer to Ishasha Sector
After breakfast, drive to Kyambura Gorge for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. The gorge, often referred to as the “Valley of Apes,” is home to a small but habituated population of chimpanzees. Trek through the dense forest as you search for these intelligent primates in their natural habitat.
After the trek, have lunch and then transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive to try and spot these unique lions resting in the branches of fig trees.

Game drive Safari and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start your day with a morning game drive in the Ishasha sector, where you can search for more tree-climbing lions and other wildlife like elephants, buffalo, and various bird species.
After lunch, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its dense rainforests and being home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. The scenic drive will take you through rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and local villages before arriving at Bwindi.

Mountain Gorilla trekking & transfer to lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before your gorilla trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced guides, trek through the misty forest to locate one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural environment.
After the trek, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch before transferring to Lake Bunyonyi, known for its serene beauty and over 29 small islands. The drive to the lake offers spectacular views of terraced hills and lush valleys.
Spend the evening with a relaxing canoeing experience on Lake Bunyonyi. Paddle around the islands, take in the breathtaking scenery, and spot some of the lake’s diverse birdlife.

Transfer back to Entebbe-End of the safari
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe, passing through Uganda’s stunning landscapes.
En route, stop at the Equator for photos and to learn about the fascinating geography of this line that divides the earth. Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your safari.
