Tarangire National Park, renowned for its diverse landscapes and nine distinct vegetation zones, is a highlight of the trip. As you embark on your game drive, you will be greeted by the impressive and ancient Baobab trees, which dwarf even large animals like giraffes. The game drive will continue until late afternoon, with a brief pause for a picnic lunch. Covering an area of 3,000 square kilometers, the park is named after the Tarangire River that meanders through it. This river attracts a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, and zebras. With a bit of luck, you may also spot rare species such as the tree-climbing python and the long-necked gerenuk. In addition to these iconic species, you'll also have the chance to see the graceful impala, one of Africa’s most striking animals. The Serengeti ecosystem sustains the highest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa. The park is particularly famous for its impressive lion and leopard populations. The central Serengeti, specifically the Seronera area, is one of the park’s most fertile wildlife habitats, with the Seronera River providing a crucial water source that attracts a wide variety of species. Your day will conclude with a hearty dinner at a campsite located in either the northern or central part of the park.

Serengeti National Park (Central to North)
Starting at 8:00 AM after a hearty breakfast, you will explore the central region of Serengeti National Park and then head towards the northern part of the park. The game drive en route to the Kogatende area will offer glimpses of resident wildlife. As you approach the northern Serengeti, you'll notice a shift from the flat grasslands to a more rugged and hilly terrain. This northern region is home to a diverse range of resident animals, including zebras, topis, gazelles, buffaloes, leopards, and lions. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the drive. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to spend some time at the Mara River. The day will conclude with a hearty dinner and a restful overnight stay at a campsite in either the northern or central part of the park.

Northern Serengeti National Park
As usual, you will start your day with a hearty breakfast and depart by 8:00 AM. From mid-June to October, this region becomes a focal point for witnessing the Great Migration. During these months, the Mara River is renowned for its dramatic river crossings. The river, swollen from heavy rains, poses a significant challenge to the migrating wildebeest, who must navigate its fierce currents. Observing the wildebeest as they struggle through the torrent, with some succumbing to the river's dangers or falling prey to lurking crocodiles, is an awe-inspiring experience. If fortune is on your side, you will have the chance to witness this natural spectacle. Throughout the full-day game drive, you will have a break for a picnic lunch. Today, you will journey south to the central Serengeti. The four-hour drive to the heart of the Serengeti will provide opportunities for mild game viewing along the way. The route takes you through hill country, the Lobo area, woodlands, and eventually into the Seronera region. The central Serengeti, or Seronera area, is one of the park's most bountiful wildlife habitats. It features the Seronera River, which is a crucial water source that attracts a diverse range of wildlife typical of the Serengeti. As you enter the Seronera region, you'll notice the transition from hilly, broken terrain to expansive grasslands. In Seronera, be sure to keep an eye out for the numerous lion prides that thrive in this area, as their interactions and survival offer excellent game viewing throughout the year. You will have a picnic lunch during the day-long drive. The evening will be spent at a campsite in the Seronera area.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
Safari will begin in the morning with a hearty breakfast, followed by a short game drive in the Serengeti. After enjoying a picnic lunch during your half-day game drive, you'll head towards the Ngorongoro Crater rim. The drive, covering 75 km, will take about 2.5 hours, providing opportunities for mild game viewing along the way. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa's most impressive geological features and a true wilderness haven. You'll set up camp at a site on the edge of the crater, offering breathtaking views of the collapsed volcano—a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a sundowner as the sun sets.

Ngorongoro Crater tour
On the final day of your safari, you'll start early. After a quick breakfast, you'll descend into the crater floor around 6:30 AM. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, covering an area of approximately 260 square kilometers and with a depth of over 2,000 feet. During a 5-hour game drive across the crater floor, you’ll witness a variety of wildlife. Be sure to keep your camera ready, as you might see African elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. After a picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool, you'll begin the steep climb back to the crater’s rim. This marks the final stretch of your safari, with a 4-hour drive remaining to Arusha. You will be dropped off at your chosen location in Arusha or Moshi by 6 PM. As you reflect on the incredible experiences and memories made, it’s time to say farewell to your team.
