Day 3
Tarangire National Park

At 7:00 am have breakfast at the hotel and at 08:30 am you'll be picked up and start a game drive en-route heading to Tarangire gate. Arrive at 10.00 am and spend 10min for registration. Afterwards, start the game drive inside the park. At 1.00 pm, have lunch at the picnic site (taking good care for beef takers and vegetarian).
The park is 118 km (2 hours drive) South-West of Arusha and its total surface area is 2850sq km. The park has a sparse vegetation strewn with baobab trees and acacia trees and it's the only area in northern circuit with the greatest number of wildlife outside the Serengeti eco-system. Animals expected to spot are zebra, cheetah, giraffe, lion, Thomson's and Grant's gazelle, kori bustard the heavy flying bird, antelope species, and many elephants.
Apart from game drive in Tarangire, you can also opt for a hot air balloon safari (it's $ 520per person).

On this day, continue with a game drive at Central Serengeti then proceed to the Southern part that will make you able to spot more hunting actions and to exit without a delay heading to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. Activities such as sunrise game drive will enable you to spot the Big Five animals and many other animals including the hunting actions as at sunrise animals are very active in searching for their day meals. On this day, you may also book a hot air balloon safari at $520 per person.

The park has volcanic soil that supports many habitats making it potential for Big Five spotting in a single day visit. Inside the park, there are lake make ( a Maasai word meaning soda lake) which provides a home for many birds.
Apart from that, the park is well known for the existence of many Maasai families living in their circular-oriented Bomas.
Furthermore, it's best for anyone wishing to explore the history of human evolution pioneered by Leakey's family. Animals expected to be spotted are lions, buffalo, wildebeests, many birds, zebras, hippos, gazelles, jackals, foxes and other wild dogs, elands, waterbucks, servals, ungulates.
Absentees are giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, elephants which are rarely seen at the crater rim. Your dinner and overnight are at Lilac Elevate Inn.
