Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

This 6–7-hour trek takes you through the enchanting heath and moorland zones, offering panoramic views and a chance to acclimatize to the higher altitude. Relax at Horombo Hut and prepare for the higher altitudes to come.

Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

Set out for an exhilarating trek to Kibo Hut, located at 4,703 meters. Over the course of 5-6 hours, you'll traverse changing landscapes as you ascend towards the base camp for your summit attempt. Once at Kibo Hut, take some time to rest and ready yourself for the upcoming climb.

Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

The pinnacle of your adventure awaits! At midnight, embark on a challenging yet rewarding ascent to Uhuru Peak, the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro at 5,895 meters. After reaching the top, soak in the breathtaking sunrise views before descending back to Horombo Hut. The round trip covers approximately 22 km and takes 12-14 hours, with the satisfaction of having conquered Africa’s highest peak. Rest and recover at Horombo Hut, reflecting on your extraordinary achievement.
