Day 1

Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

You'll transfer to Mikumi National Park with an early start from Dar Es Salaam. The drive takes about 5 to 6 hours depending on the traffic.
You'll have a lunch stop in Morogoro town.
You'll enjoy an en-route game drive as you arrive in the Mikumi region.
On arrival, you'll check-in to the lodge, refresh, and rest after the long journey.
At 4:00 pm in the afternoon, you will go for a Maasai village cultural visit for an hour.
You'll return to the lodge before 6:00 pm for the evening rest, dinner, and overnight stay.

Mikumi National Park Game Drives

Today, you will leave the lodge in the early morning for entry to the national park.
You'll enjoy a half day of game drives in Mikumi National Park where you will see a lot of animals including lions, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, and elephants.
You'll exit the park before noon so that you can start the transfer back to the city.
You'll be dropped off at your stated location.
If traveling back to Zanzibar with the last ferry, we will ensure you are back on time for that.
