Arusha, known as the gateway to the safari circuit, is situated at the base of Mount Meru and provides an ideal starting point for your adventure. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the lively markets or simply settle in and prepare for the upcoming safari. Your overnight stay in Arusha will ensure that you are well-rested and ready for the exciting days ahead.

On this day, you will embark on an adventure in Tarangire, a vast and diverse national park in Tanzania. Home to a remarkably large elephant community, the park also boasts an intriguing array of majestic baobab trees. The Tarangire River, the sole permanent water source in the region, serves as a focal point for a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as a population of up to six hundred elephants. Aftet the game drive you'll drive to Karatu where you will spend the night.

After breakfast, we will make our way to the illustrious Ngorongoro Crater, a distinguished UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its abundant wildlife. Descending into the crater, you will embark on a captivating full-day game drive, immersing yourself in the awe-inspiring landscapes and encountering the famed Big Five, alongside a myriad of other captivating wildlife species. Subsequently, we will travel to Central Serengeti for your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast, you will embark on a delightful half-day game drive expedition in the Serengeti. Following this immersive experience, we will begin our journey back to Karatu, a picturesque town, which will take approximately four hours of scenic driving. Sit back, relax, and relish the captivating sights along the way.

Day 6
Lake Natron

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Natron, located in northern Tanzania near the border with Kenya. Situated northeast of the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Natron offers travelers a unique extension compared to other national parks they may have visited. The landscape is dominated by Ol Doinyo Lengai, an active volcano south of Lake Natron. The lesser flamingos are the most famous attraction of Lake Natron. 75% of the world's population of lesser flamingos is born on this lake. They gather on the lake from August to October to lay eggs, which hatch during the short rainy season in November. Today you will visit the lake and the Ngare Sero waterfalls where to take a refreshing bath.

Departure in the early morning after breakfast. Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. The park flaunts a shallow alkaline lake set against the beautiful backdrop of the Rift Valley escarpment. Visitors can expect to spot the rare tree-climbing lions and vast herds of elephants roaming the area. En route, entering the park, you will encounter a lush groundwater forest revealing a jungle-like habitat for huge populations of olive baboons and blue monkeys. Don't miss out on the 370m (1,200 ft) long treetop walkway offering panoramic aerial views of this fascinating environment. After the game drive you will drive to Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport (evening flight).
