You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. We’ll stop at a viewpoint to see the Rift Valley. Arrive in Nakuru in time for a hot lunch, then take an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru, located in the Rift Valley, used to be famous for its flamingos, but they moved to Lake Baringo and Bogoria when the water level rose. Now, Lake Nakuru is known for its rhino sanctuary, with over 40 black rhinos and more than 60 white rhinos. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at your accommodation.

From Lake Nakuru to Famous Maasai Mara
After breakfast, we will drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. You will get to Masai Mara in time for a hot lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. This is one of Kenya’s most popular and beautiful game reserves. It’s at an altitude of 1,650 meters (5,414 feet) and covers 1,510 square kilometers (about 600 square miles), extending north from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. The name "Mara" means "spotted" or "dappled" in Maasai. The area has rolling grasslands with red oat grass, small bushy hills, and forests along the Mara River and its tributaries. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at your accommodation.

Today, we will spend the whole day on a game drive in the Masai Mara with a picnic lunch provided. The reserve is home to the "Big Five"—lion, leopard, African elephant, Cape buffalo, and black rhinoceros. Black rhino numbers fell a lot due to poaching in the 1970s and 1980s but have slowly increased since then, with about 23 rhinos counted in 1999. You can also see large groups of hippos and crocodiles in the Mara and Talek Rivers. Leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes are also around. From July to October, the Great Migration happens, with around 1,300,000 wildebeest, 500,000 Thomson’s gazelles, 97,000 topi, 18,000 elands, and 200,000 zebras moving north from the Serengeti in search of fresh grass. Today, you can choose to do optional activities like a balloon safari or visit a Maasai village. After breakfast, you will drive back to Nairobi. We’ll have lunch on the way. Once you get to Nairobi, you’ll be dropped off at the airport or your hotel.
