Day 1

Nairobi City to Lake Nakuru National Park via Crescent Island Game Sanctuary

Pick up at the hotel or airport by 7:00am and drive to Crescent Island, stopping at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for some photos. The journey will take 2 hours.

You will access Crescent Island with a 15 to 20-minute boat ride on Lake Naivasha.

The island is one of Naivasha's best-kept secrets and is perfect for wildlife watching and bird enthusiasts. Bird species found on the island include fish eagles, herons, cranes, pelicans, and lily-trotters. The wildlife includes Masai giraffes, zebras, bat-eared foxes, long-tailed cormorants, bush babies, vervet monkeys, jackals, Kirk's dik-dik, and spring hares.

Guests can enjoy several activities like guided nature walks and bird watching. This excursion will take 3.5 hours. Later, we will proceed to Naivasha town for a lunch break and then head to Lake Nakuru Park for the evening game drive.

We will check in at the hotel, where dinner will be served from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. After dinner, relax and prepare for the next day's adventure.

Exploring Lake Nakuru National Park

Breakfast will be served from 6:00 am to 6:50 am and check-out. After breakfast, we will head to Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive.

Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya's top tourist destinations, offering an amazing opportunity to encounter wildlife and bird species. You will likely see rhinos (black and white), rare tree-climbing lions, and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. Other animals in the park include leopards, cheetahs, waterbuck, hyenas, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys, and gazelles.
The park is a paradise for bird lovers, boasting over 400 bird species, including Egyptian geese, pelicans, and fish eagles.
Additionally, the park features the famous Makalia Falls, offering a spectacular view of the waterfall from the cliff.

After the game drive, we will return to Nairobi with a lunch stop at the hotel. Our expected arrival time is 4:00pm.
