Your day begins with a morning safari briefing, where you’ll receive an overview of the exciting journey ahead. After the briefing, you’ll embark on a drive through the scenic landscapes, heading towards Tarangire National Park. Upon arriving, you'll be greeted by the sight of baobab trees towering over the savannah. The park’s varied landscape, with its seasonal marshes and open plains, make for an incredible wildlife experience. Tarangire is renowned as one of the best places to observe elephants up close, and as you explore the park, you’ll also encounter herds of buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests. From the open roof of the safari vehicle, you’ll have the perfect vantage point to take in the stunning scenery and watch the wildlife in their natural habitat.

In the late afternoon, you’ll leave the park and drive to Lake Burunge Baobab Tented Lodge. This will be your home for the next two nights, offering a comfortable retreat where you can unwind and reflect on the day's adventures.

Today is a full day dedicated exploring the diverse landscapes and wildlife of Tarangire National Park. During the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes a vital water source, attracting a wide variety of animals. It's an ideal location to observe wildlife up close and witness their natural behaviours. Our guide will enrich your experience with detailed insights into the park’s wildlife and ecosystems, enhancing your understanding and appreciation of the natural world. As the day draws to a close, you'll return to the Lake Burunge Baobab Tented Lodge, situated just outside the park, where you can relax and reflect on the incredible experiences of your second day on safari.

Fyi from January to mid-March the camp will be Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp (this camp is situated within Serengeti National Park, near the border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the Ndutu region).

After breakfast, you'll be heading through the cooler highlands, towards the southern reaches of the Serengeti. By midday, you’ll arrive at the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, the largest park in Tanzania, renowned for its diverse habitats and stunning landscapes. Here, you’ll encounter everything from short grass plains and expansive savannahs to dense bush, swamps, and serene lakes. Scattered across this grassy expanse are the unique rock formations known as kopjes, where predators often lurk. After a day of exploring this incredible ecosystem, you’ll settle in for the night at the Kati Kati Tented Camp, located within the heart of the park.

As you depart from Serengeti National Park, your journey begins with a final game drive, offering you one last opportunity to experience the park's remarkable wildlife. In the early afternoon, you'll exit the Serengeti and set off towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon reaching the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, you'll be treated to a breathtaking view of the expansive caldera below—a truly unforgettable sight. After taking in this spectacular vista, you'll continue your drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and head towards Karatu, located in the picturesque Ngorongoro highlands. Then you will head to Karatu-you'll have the chance to explore a local coffee plantation, where you'll learn about the fascinating process of cultivating and processing coffee. You'll then spend the night at one of the beautifully situated in Karatu, offering a serene and comfortable retreat in the heart of this scenic region.

After an early breakfast, you'll set off at daybreak towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you'll descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater. This vast, ancient caldera is a haven for wildlife, home to over 25,000 mammals, including the iconic Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—as well as spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs, and an array of over 500 bird species. You’ll spend the morning on an extensive game drive, exploring the crater’s diverse habitats and observing its rich wildlife. After a scenic picnic lunch within the crater, you’ll ascend from the caldera in the afternoon and return to your the lodge for another relaxing night.
