Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your adventure begins as your driver-guide picks you up in a 4x4 Land Cruiser at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Depart Nairobi and head towards the Maasai Mara. You'll take a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to stretch your legs and marvel at the stunning panoramic views of this geological wonder. Capture some photos before continuing your journey. Arrive and check in at the Masai Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch and enjoy some leisure time to relax and settle in. Embark on your first game drive in the late afternoon. Explore the Mara’s vast plains and spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and possibly even a pride of lions. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Full Day Masai Mara Safari

Start your day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Witness the beauty of the Mara at dawn and track the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino. Return to your lodge for breakfast or have a bush breakfast.
Continue your exploration with a full-day game drive. Head towards the Mara River, where you might spot hippos and crocodiles. If you’re visiting during the migration season (July to October), watch in awe as massive herds of wildebeest and zebras cross the river. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wild scenery of the Mara, allowing you to stay close to the action and maximize your game viewing time. Visit a local Maasai village to learn about the traditional culture and customs of the Maasai people. Engage with the community, participate in their dances, and discover their way of life. After a full day of adventure, return to your lodge to relax and unwind with dinner and an evening around the campfire.

Return to camp for a hearty breakfast before checking out. Begin your journey back to Nairobi, passing through the scenic landscapes of Kenya. Your driver-guide will drop you off at your hotel or transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey.
