2-Day Fly in to Tarangire and Ngorongoro from Zanzibar

Zanzibar to Tarangire

You will take a flight from Zanzibar Airport to Arusha Airport, anticipated to arrive at approximately 9:20am. Upon your arrival at Arusha Airport, your assigned guide will extend a warm welcome. We will be at the gate in a few hours, checking in and searching for animals. Usually, there are animals right after you enter the gate! Thomson's gazelle and warthogs are typically spotted here, and elephants are not far away. You will be impressed with the size of the enormous baobab trees that seem to be everywhere in this park. We shall search for the big cats—always a memorable sighting! We then drive to the Tarangire River to catch up with the big elephant herds and other animals that make their way there to drink.

At noon, we drive to a picnic site on a viewpoint, where we shall have lunch while enjoying the incredible views and the birds. We will resume our game drive as we travel to your accommodation.

Ngorongoro Crater

On this day you will start very early in the morning. The small and big cats too are more active in the morning before the sun is hot. You will drive in the early morning to the Ngorongoro main gate where you will register and drive to the Crater’s rim where you will make another brief stop at the View Point. You will spend a few minutes to marvel at the stunning views over the Crater floor then descend to the Crater floor for a fun-filled day of game drives. The Crater walls are 600 meters high so they act as a natural zoo where more than 30,000 animals roam including the Big Five. You expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, elands, jackals, hyenas, Buffaloes, and with luck you might spot the elusive leopard and rarely the black rhinos. Later in the afternoon after satisfactory game drives you will be transferred to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your evening flight back to Zanzibar where your safari ends.
