Samburu National Reserve

The name Samburu is of Maasai origin, a ‘samburr’ is a traditional leather bag the Masai use for carrying honey and milk.
After breakfast, go for a full day game drive carrying packed lunch. A day spent searching for the big five, the Samburu five, and observing the vast unspoiled scenery. These five particular animals are usually only found north of the equator – the long-necked gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe which is characterized by its liver-colored geometric patches defined by narrow white lines, the Grevy’s zebra which is smaller than the common zebra and looks more like a horse, the beisa oryx with a black horizontal stripe running across its lower flank and the Somali ostrich males which have blue-grey necks and thighs. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3

Samburu - Ol pejeta

After breakfast, leave for Ol Pejeta Conservancy to arrive in good time for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, enjoy your game drive in this 364sq km wildlife conservancy situated between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares and its game-to-area ratio tops the Kenyan park and reserve league. Ol Pejeta has over 10000 large mammals and it is the only park where the big 5 and chimpanzees can be seen. It is also where the fastest-growing population of rhinos in Africa can be found. There are southern white rhino, about 80 endangered black rhino and in a special sanctuary, there are the world’s last remaining northern white rhino. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 5

Ol pejeta - Lake Nakuru

Have an early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Depart to Lake Nakuru National Park to arrive in time for lunch and short rest. After lunch an exciting game drive until 6.30 in the evening. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lake shores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 birds' species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White and Black Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, leave for Maasai Mara National Reserve to arrive in good time for lunch and rest. Afternoon; leave for a game drive at globally famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards, and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson's gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

After morning breakfast, leave for Lake Naivasha to arrive in good time for lunch and rest. Afternoon optional boat ride safari and a visit to the crescent island can be arranged at an extra cost. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia Xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree whereby these forests abound with birdlife, and Naivasha is known as a world-class birding. The waters of the lake draw a great range of games to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, Buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the Lakes large hippo population sleeps the day out in the shallows. After breakfast, leave for Tsavo West National Park to arrive in good time for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you will head for a game view in this beautiful, rugged wilderness. The Savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrub lands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation, and rocky ridges including the Poacher's Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalo, diverse plant and bird species. It also includes a visit to the Mzima Springs.

After breakfast; embark on a full day game drive carrying packed lunch. Today is a full day game drive with packed lunch. Explore Tsavo East National Park. The extensive diverse habitats offer an ideal area to search for pride of Lions, Buffaloes, Cheetahs, Giraffe, Zebras, Hippos, and Wildebeests. Mzima Spring, underground water seepage from Chyulu hills is a good place to watch the Hippos. Return for dinner and overnight at your camp.
