Your adventure begins early at 5:00am as you depart from Arusha, driving through the scenic landscapes of Tanzania towards the Ngorongoro Crater. A simple breakfast will be provided en route, ensuring you’re fueled for a day of exploration.

Upon arrival at Ngorongoro Crater around 8:00am you’ll embark on a descent into the caldera, a unique and stunning geological formation. This morning is dedicated to game viewing within the crater, where you’ll witness a spectacular array of wildlife in their natural habitat. Expect to see elephants, lions, zebras, and perhaps the elusive black rhino. The diverse ecosystems within the crater—from grasslands to swamps—offer a rich and dynamic safari experience.

Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the breathtaking scenery of the crater.
In the late afternoon, you’ll leave the crater and head back to Arusha at Arusha Tourist Inn. The drive offers a chance to relax and unwind after a day of thrilling safari adventures.

Foothill of Mountain Kilimanjaro

After breakfast at the Tourist Inn, you’ll depart for Materuni, a charming village located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The drive offers scenic views of the lush landscapes that surround Arusha.

Upon arrival in Materuni, immerse yourself in the rich culture of the Chaga people. Explore the village, interact with the locals, and learn about their traditional way of life.

Begin a moderate hike through verdant rainforests to the spectacular Materuni Waterfalls. The trail is filled with natural beauty, including diverse plant species and birdlife.

At the base of the falls, enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in the breathtaking view of the cascading waters. The tranquil atmosphere is perfect for relaxation and reflection.

After a memorable visit to the waterfalls, return to Arusha. Enjoy the scenic drive back, reflecting on the diverse experiences of your safari and waterfall adventure or drop off to the airport were this tour comes to an end.
