Your adventure begins upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, where our representative will warmly welcome you. Following a brief city tour of Kigali, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Musanze, located at the foothills of Volcanoes National Park. As you journey through the picturesque Rwandan countryside, you’ll catch glimpses of the beautiful landscapes that make this region so unique. Upon arrival in Musanze, you'll check into your budget-friendly accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, you might have the chance to visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus, which offers fascinating insights into gorilla conservation.

Golden Monkey Tracking in Volcanoes National Park

The day begins with an early breakfast before heading to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing on golden monkey tracking. Accompanied by experienced guides, you’ll venture into the bamboo forests, where you’ll seek out these lively and rare primates. Once you find them, you’ll have the incredible opportunity to spend an hour observing their behavior in their natural habitat. After this thrilling experience, you’ll return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll cross the border into Uganda and continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where you’ll settle in for the night.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, your guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. You’ll then embark on a challenging but rewarding trek through the dense forest in search of a gorilla family. Upon finding them, you’ll spend an unforgettable hour observing these magnificent creatures up close, capturing memories that will last a lifetime. After your trek, you’ll be transferred to the serene Lake Bunyonyi, where you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views. The rest of the evening is at your leisure, allowing you to unwind after an exhilarating day.

Transfer to Kigali & Departure

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast by Lake Bunyonyi before starting your drive back to Kigali. Along the way, you’ll have several opportunities to stop and capture the stunning scenery, including the rolling hills of Kigezi. As you cross the border back into Rwanda, you’ll continue towards Kigali, with the option to do some last-minute shopping at the craft village in Remera. Once you arrive in Kigali, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure, marking the end of your 4-day primate trekking adventure.
