On Day five, Prepare to be captivated on an extraordinary adventure as we venture into the Ndutu region for a full-day game drive. Explore diverse habitats, from swamps to woodlands, soda lakes to Serengeti's short grass plains, and encounter majestic herds of wildebeest and zebra. Witness the remarkable synchrony of nature as vulnerable wildebeest calves enter the world, attracting predators like cheetahs, lions, hyenas, and leopards. Marvel at their resilience as they take their first steps and develop the strength to keep pace with their herd. In the morning after breakfast, we depart Ndutu for the legendary Ngorongoro Crater. As we traverse scenic landscapes, we reach the crater rim, offering breathtaking panoramic views. When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world. Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland and glistening lakes and swamps. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. The crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands as well as the Big five.
A picnic lunch amidst this natural marvel allows us to soak in the moment. With memories etched in our minds, we ascend and proceed to our accommodation, where a warm ambiance awaits. Enjoy a delightful dinner, reflecting on the remarkable experiences of the day.
