Antananarivo - Andasibe-Mantadia National Park

Today, after your breakfast, you are going to Andasibe, east of Antananarivo. On the road, you will visit the Peyreiras Reserve, a reptile park where you will see different types of chameleons, frogs, crocodiles, geckos, butterflies, and lemurs. You will continue to Andasibe after the visit. When you arrive, you will check into your hotels and be ready for a nighttime tour to see the lemurs, frogs, and chameleons active at night.

Visit of Analamazaotra National Park

Today, you'll enjoy a full day of visit to Analamazaotra National Park. The real draw of this reserve is the rare indri, Madagascar’s largest lemur, whose unforgettable wail can be heard emanating from the misty forest throughout the day, most commonly in the morning. There are about 60 resident family groups of two to five Indris each. In addition to the indris, you may also see woolly lemurs, grey bamboo lemurs, red-fronted lemurs, black-and-white ruffed lemurs, and diademed sifakas. In 2005 the Goodman’s mouse lemur was discovered here and identified as a distinct species. Eleven species of tenrec, the immense and colorful Parson’s chameleon, and seven other chameleon species are also found here. Over 100 bird species have been identified in the park, together with 20 species of amphibian. The park is also home to the endemic palm tree Ravinala, found nowhere else on the island. Afterward, you'll visit the Vakona reserve where you will see other lemurs and other animals also.

Today, you will drive to Mantadia National Park. You'll enjoy a full day of visit to this primary forest, admiring many species of animals and plants. You will also see waterfalls in this amazing place. After the visit, we will drive you to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Andasibe - Antananarivo

Today, you will drive back to the capital, Antananarivo. On the way, you will enjoy one more time the beautiful scenery of this part of Madagascar and see the general life of people. The majority of people in these rural areas are engaged in agriculture. They grow crops such as rice, vegetables, and fruits, often in traditional ways. Rice fields are particularly visible along the road. Once you arrive, you will check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
