2-Day Fly in Nyerere National Park Safari from Zanzibar

Fly to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Drive)

The day will begin with a pick up from your hotel in Zanzibar, where our professional driver will take you to Zanzibar Airport. From there, you'll board a flight to Mtemere Airstrip located in Nyerere National Park.

Once in the park, you'll embark on a full-day game drive, exploring the vast attractions that Africa's largest national park has to offer, including a diverse range of wildlife, birds, rivers, lakes, and more. You might encounter elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and several other animals during your journey.

In the afternoon, a packed lunch will be provided, allowing you some time to relax. The game drive will resume afterward, enjoy a beautiful sunset view while heading to your lodge by the Rufiji river banks for an overnight stay and dinner.

Boat Safari, Village Tour & Fly out to Zanzibar

On this day, you'll wake up early for coffee or tea before embarking on a boat safari in the Rufiji River. The Rufiji River has dozens of different indigenous species including hippos and Nile crocodiles as well as diverse birdlife at sunrise.

You will return to the lodge for a filling breakfast, thereafter you'll go on a village tour nearby led by our guide, exploring local culture at Mloka village.
After this, you'll have lunch at the lodge before our professional driver picks you for a transfer to Mtemere Airstrip at Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve) for your 4pm flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, a driver will be ready to take you to your hotel.
