Day 1

Mombasa to Tsavo East

Mombasa to Tsavo East

You will be picked from your hotel and start your adventure with an early morning drive from Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park, which takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Upon entering the park, begin your game drive across the vast savannahs, where you’ll be greeted by the famous red elephants of Tsavo, as well as lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species. Take your time to explore the park’s diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes. After your morning drive, head to Ashnil Aruba Lodge for a delicious lunch while overlooking the Aruba Dam. You’ll likely see herds of elephants drinking from the dam, providing a fantastic wildlife experience. In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive, or choose to relax at the lodge, which offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The evening is yours to unwind with a lovely dinner at the lodge, followed by an overnight stay in the comfort of your accommodation, surrounded by nature.

Day 2

Tsavo East and West to Mombasa

Tsavo East and West to Mombasa

Wake up early for a final game drive in Tsavo East, where you can spot wildlife before the day heats up. Take in the wide-open spaces and possibly encounter more elephant herds, lions, and antelopes. Afterward, depart for Tsavo West, which is about a 2-hour drive away, offering a contrasting landscape of volcanic hills, lush vegetation, and rugged terrain. Once in Tsavo West, explore Mzima Springs, where you can enjoy a nature walk and spot hippos and crocodiles in the crystal-clear waters. Next, visit the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, home to the endangered black rhino. After lunch at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge, enjoy a leisurely afternoon game drive through the park, keeping an eye out for buffaloes, leopards, and other wildlife. In the late afternoon, begin your journey back to Mombasa, arriving in the evening, completing your thrilling 2-day safari adventure. You will be dropped off at your hotel.
