Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, you'll be driven to Murchison Falls National Park via the towns of Malinda and Masindi. Stop for lunch in Masindi before entering the park through the Kichumbanyobo gate. Upon arrival, you'll visit the top of the falls, where you can admire the dramatic scene from which the park gets its name. The Nile River forces its way through a narrow seven-meter gorge, tumbling 40 meters down into a tranquil river below. Afterward, you'll return to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you will go on a game drive in the park’s northern area in search of some of the “Big Five” (buffaloes, lions, elephants, and possibly leopards). Other animals you might encounter include Rothschild giraffes, bushbucks, warthogs, waterbucks, and a variety of antelope. At lunchtime, you will return to the lodge before heading out for a thrilling boat cruise down the Nile in the afternoon. Sail close to the bottom of the falls and take in the sights of various birds, numerous hippos, and giant crocodiles along the banks. If you’re lucky, you may spot the rare shoebill stork, along with other bird species in the area. After the boat cruise, you will be transferred to Masindi, and the evening will be at your leisure.

Murchison Falls National Park - Jinja

After breakfast, you will set off for Jinja Town to visit the source of the mighty Nile, Africa’s longest river. You will arrive in the early evening and relax at your lodge until dinner. Alternatively, you can go on a short walking tour of Jinja before settling in for your overnight stay.
